Guestbook
The painter should be eager to listen to other judgments about his work :
You cannot refuse, while you’re painting, the common judgment, because we know that the man, even if he can’t paint, has knowledge of the aspect of others…And if we know that men can judge accurately the work of the nature, we should therefore admit that they could also judge our mistakes; you know how much we can be in the wrong with our works; and if you didn’t notice it for yourself, then realize it through the work of others and you will learn from their mistakes… Be eager to lend a patient ear to the opinions of others and think long and hard whether whoever finds fault has reason or not to censure you. And if the answer is yes, correct the fault. If no, give the impression that you have not heard him, or if he is a man whom you respect, explain to him why he is mistaken.Write a comment
bravo, j'ai regardé toutes les images.
Nous sommes très fiers de compter Philhelm parmis nos artistes exposants sur la Galerie bozart.ca. Superbes réalisations. Félicitations.
Abounding, disturbing, confusing, fascinating, obsessive, sometimes frightening, but also documented, husked. ...
Bestiary codex and robotic (with deliberate anachronisms) between Balinese dancer at Babylon and Aristotle’s Japonism...
Restless Ariadne's thread of a meticulous tormented soul, bridge between civilizations, between secular and sacred. There is, on the form, something of the tapestry of Matilda’s Queen and the Dharmacakra wheel.
Have a nice trip and good quest Philhelm!
One likes to travel to experience new and varied things. The more we progress and the more we insist on stronger feelings and greater excitement. Such unique journey is at hand while visiting Philhelm gallery. The sounds and smells are missing. Therefore, I consider myself amongst the lucky ones who can visit the artist at work. Then the miracle takes place, not like on some packaged tour, what I saw last time is gone, the same tour operator, the same site, even the same colours but the experience is new, overpowering as one sees things never seen before. This in my books describes a true artist, whose feelings and vision go beyond our common understanding. With Philhelm time and space have contracted and expanded at once.
That's it! Believe me, I know what I'm talking about: I'm an artist myself...the recipe is a real alchemy between years of documentation on antical cultures + sprays of flashy colors, well mastered + an amazing imagination + a modern vision + a long work + a very precise way of painting + a psycho-philosophical synthesis = an outstanding work that fill the gap between yesterday and today! Congratulations: I'm amazed!

I just waked up from that colourful dream that your paintings gave me. They are so special, timeless, it's hard to see which style they belong to...
I saw different elements inside every paintings, classical\abstract\myth...but all of them have a link to show that's Philhelm ! It's unique !
I always believe that different eyes and hearts have different feelings in front of the same art, and I personally enjoyed them, simply and happily.
Thanks for the trip !
It's with a great pleasure that I let some lines on this guest book: I'd like to congratulate you for your great work: admirable and unique. Just know that, here in the Middle Kingdom, we're looking at your art with great attention.
As to your success: patience, in time, the grass turns to milk!
Your son who loves you,

"your paintings are stunning and very much in line with your image, at least the one I kept in my mind for all these years; flamboyant themes and bright colors but surrounded, contained or controlled I should say, by precise black borders; nothing overflows, nothing steps out of line. You are very lucky to have an art form to express yourself so well, most people lack such a gift".
